FAQ's: FAQ

WHY ARE FIRST AID AT WORK COURSES LIMITED TO A CAPACITY OF 12 WHEREAS MENTAL HEALTH COURSES ARE 16?

When training First Aid at Work a large percentage of the course is practical and therefore  has both space and time constraints. For this reason we find the courses work best for all involved when limited to 12 maximum.

Mental Health First Aid courses are more discussion based and therefore benefit from the engagement of a slightly larger group. If you foresee this causing your company any issues please do talk to us and we will find a solution.

WHAT DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED TO SECURE A COURSE DATE?

For most courses we request a 25% deposit of the total course cost at the time of booking. Please visit the How to Book tab for further details on deposits, balance payments and the booking process.

WHAT ARE YOUR NORMAL START AND FINISH TIMES OF COURSES?

If the course duration is 1, 2 or 3 days we would normally start at 0930 and finish at 1630 with breaks throughout the day. This allows for your employees who work a 9 to 5 day to have useful time at the beginning and end of each day to catch up on their "day" job. 3 or 4 hour courses can be scheduled for either the morning or afternoon. We can, of course, adapt to suit the customer's wishes. Please note lunch is not provided.

DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS TO BUSINESSES WHO BOOK A NUMBER OF COURSES WITH YOU?

Yes. MI Team Training pride themselves on building professional relationships with businesses. Therefore for those businesses booking a number of courses we would look to offer a percentage discount to reflect the work we are completing for you both presently and hopefully in the future.
For larger organisations that wish to have different training for certain levels of employees we can offer a bespoke package which would also include a discount.

I CAN'T SEE DETAILS OF  THE COURSE THAT I AM LOOKING FOR?

Please get in touch! We are always looking to evolve in terms of the courses we offer and the businesses we work with.
We can discuss your requirements and give you an accurate timeline of when we would be able to offer what you are looking for. As we grow in terms of team members we would be delighted to have you as the launch customer for a specific course.

WHAT DOES "IN HOUSE" MEAN WHEN YOU REFER TO COURSES?

"In house" means that we come to your business/workplace to run whichever course(s) you have chosen. Most companies prefer this option as it negates the need for employees to travel and therefore minimises disruption. We would ask you to provide a suitable learning environment for the duration of the course.
If you would prefer to run the course "off site" this can be arranged but this would incur an additional charge.
